దుర్యోధనుడు ఎప్పుడు మరణించాడు

మహాభారత యుద్ధ పరిసమాప్తి 18 రోజులలోనేనా?
మహాభారత యుద్ధంలో 18 దుర్యోధనుడు మరణించాడా?

ఏదైనా యుద్ధంలో ఒక రాజు గెలిచాడు అంటే అవతలి రాజు మరణించాలి లేదా ఓటమిని ఒప్పుకోవాలి. మరి మహాభారత యుద్ధం 18 రోజులు జరిగింది అని చెప్తారు. ఈ 18 రోజులలో దుర్యోధనుడు చావలేదు & ఓటమిని అంగీకరించలేదు. మరి యుద్ధం ముగిసింది అని ఎలా చెప్పగలము? దీనికి కొందరు పెద్దలు ఇలా చెప్తున్నారు.

ఓటమి అంచులకు వెళ్ళిన రాజు కనపడకుండా పోయినపుడు సర్వ సైన్యాధ్యక్షుడి మరణం లేదా ఓటమినే ఆ రాజు ఓటమి గా పరిగణించవచ్చు.

కనుక 18వ రోజు కౌరవుల సర్వసైన్యాధ్యక్షుడైన శల్యుడు మధ్యాహ్న సమయానికి మరణిస్తాడు. రాజు ఐన దుర్యోధనుడు కనపడక పోవడంచే కౌరవులు ఓటమి పాలు అయ్యారని భావిస్తారు. ఇక కౌరవ నాయకుడైన దుర్యోధనుడు కురుక్షేత్రం నుండి పారి పోయి ద్వైపాయనహ్రాదం అనే నీటి మడుగులో జలస్థంభన విద్య చేత దాక్కుంటాడు. గూఢచారుల చేత విషయం కనుక్కున్న పాండవులలో భీముని చేత గదాయుద్ధం లో తొడలు విరగకొట్టబడినవాడై దుర్యోధనుడు మరణిస్తాడు. అయితే ఇది యుద్ధానంతరం ఎన్ని రోజులకు జరిగింది? దీనికి వివరణ శల్యపర్వం లో దొరుకుతుంది.

కురు పాండవుల యుద్ధం చూడడం ఇష్టం లేని #బలరాముడు యుద్ధం మొదలయ్యే సమయానికి తీర్ధయాత్రలకు బయలుదేరి దుర్యోధనుడు మరణించే సమయానికి ముగించుకుని వస్తాడు.

చత్వారింశత్ అహాన్యద్య ద్వేచమేని: నిశ్రుతిస్యవై
పుష్యేణ సంప్రయాతోస్మి శ్రవణే పునరాగత: ------ శల్య 8-33.

పుష్యమి నక్షత్రంలో యుద్ధం ప్రారంభమైన రోజున తాను తీర్ధయాత్రలకు బయల్దేరి వెళ్లానని తిరిగి శ్రవణా నక్షత్రమున అదేరోజు వచ్చానని చెప్తాడు. అనగా శ్రవణా నక్షత్ర యుక్త పుష్య శుద్ధ తదియ  అవుతుంది.

దుర్యోధనుడు పుష్యమీ నక్షత్రం బాగుందని తన సేనలను యుద్ధమునకు తరలించిన రోజే బలరాముడు తీర్ధయాత్రలకు బయలుదేరుతాడు. అనగా 42 రోజులపాటు తీర్ధయాత్రలకు వెళ్ళాడు.

( పుష్యమి నుండి మరలా పుష్యమి దాటి శ్రవణమునకు 42 రోజులు)

ఇందులో మహాభారత యుద్ధం 18 రోజులు తీసేస్తే యుద్ధానంతరం దుర్యోధనుడు ఎన్ని రోజులకు మరణించాడో తెలుస్తుంది. కనుక 42 -18 = 24  రోజులు ( చత్వారింశత్ ) అన్నమాట.

దీనిని బట్టి దుర్యోధన వధ & భారత యుద్ధ పరిసమాప్తి 18వ రోజునే జరగలేదని, మొత్తం 42 రోజుల తర్వాత శ్రవణా నక్షత్ర పుష్య శుద్ధ తదియ నాడు జరిగింది అని తెలుస్తుంది.

Mahabharata war is completed in 18 days only? Duryodhana died in 18 days of Kurukshetra's war?

A king's victory is declared in 2 points. Those are

1. Neither the opponent is died nor

2. The opponent is agreed of his difeat.

But the duryodhana is not died and not agreed his defeat in the 18 days war. So how to conclude the war is end in 18 days?

Some schoolers are explained that if an army in defeat position with the absent of king's presence , and death of the chief commander of entire army is concluded as the king's loss of the empire.

So in the 18 th day afternoon the chief commander of the kourava empire king salya was died. That's why they says Mahabharata war is completed.

Interesting point is :-

The king duryodhana ran away from kurukshetra and hide in a pond called dwaipaayana hrada with an art of  Jalasthambhana vidya.

Pandavas went their , defat and killed the duryodhana by bheema.

But when it happens?

There is a reference in salyaparva

King balarama who are not interested to participate and see the war, went to visit holy places in beginning day of the war and return the day of duryodhana's death.....

He says that he started in the star pushyami and return in the same day of star sravana...(the death day of duryodhana)

Total journey of 42 days.

That is Pushya suddha tadiya of star sravana.

Duryodhana also starts their army to kurukshetra in star pushyami .

So balarama returns after 42 days of journey.

In the evidence of above narration

duryodhana died after 24th day of 18 days Mahabharata war. (42-18=24).
